City Life made its third and final return to downtown Dayton during the summer of 2009. 15 life-sized, bronze sculptures were on display from May 15 through August 14. The sculptures depicted everyday people in everyday situations. While most of the sculptures were new, a couple favorites from years past made return visits, including sculptures depicting Marilyn Monroe and "V-J Day in Times Square," the famous kiss between the sailor and the nurse at the end of WWII. New Elements K12 Gallery for Young People was also part of the 2009 exhibition. Their artists created 10 stained glass mosaics. Large prints of these pieces were created and hung in the street-level windows of downtown buildings. Photo Contest Quick Links
