With this convenient highway access and the city's central location, downtown Dayton is less than a 20-minute drive from most of the surrounding suburban communities as well as the Dayton International Airport. For drivers making their first vist to our center city, here are some basic directions: Coming from the north (Toledo) Take I-75 south to the First Street exit, which will be on your left. First Street is a one-way street that will bring you directly into downtown. Coming from the south (Cincinnati) Take I-75 north to the Third Street exit. Turn right from the exit ramp onto Third Street. This will bring you directly into downtown. Coming from the east (Columbus) Take I-70 west to State Route 4 south. Take Route 4 south until it merges into I-75 south. Stay in the left-hand lane and take the First Street exit. First Street is a one-way street that will bring you directly into downtown. or Take I-70 west to I-675 south. Take I-675 south to U.S. 35 west. Take U.S. 35 west to the Main/Jefferson Street exit and turn right into downtown. Coming from the west (Indianapolis) Take I-70 east to I-75 south. Take the First Street exit, which will be on your left. First Street is a one-way street that will bring you directly into downtown. |
